M. Ángel García

Miguel Ángel García Belmonte is an industrial designer and founder of Pott Project. Born in 1974, he studied Technical Engineering and Industrial Design in Valencia. After completing his training and working at several design studios, he decided to settle in Totana, his adopted town, with the idea of channelling all his experience as a designer into a project of his own.

In 2013 he founded Pott Project with the intention of reinventing the craftsman’s trade, turning his concerns into a project where every object is handmade, with dedication and care, combining traditional techniques with advanced processes to achieve a contemporary look.

His work starts from clay, from its limits and its possibilities, seeking for each object to preserve the honesty of the process that gives rise to it. Experimentation accompanies that search, rooted in respect for the craft and the knowledge of those who have worked with ceramics for generations.
