Terra

Terra is based on a simple idea: allowing the ceramic to take centre stage. The form is reduced to its bare essentials, so that the texture, colour and density of the clay become the defining characteristics of each piece. The collection is built around smooth or textured cylinders of varying proportions, which can be combined freely to create compositions of different scales. Though each light fitting is created using the same formal language, variations in surface, colour and material mean that no two are exactly alike. The light flows gently over each form, accentuating the relief of the ceramic and reminding us that, before becoming a light fitting, it all began as earth.
